House Of Cards star Robin Wright is reportedly in talks to join Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in the Blade Runner sequel.
The film will be set decades after the original, which was based in Los Angeles in 2019.Ford returns as the "blade runner" Rick Deckard and Sicario director Denis Villeneuve will lead the project.
The sequel is due for release in January 2018, just one year before the setting of the 1982 original.
It is not known what character Wright will play, or if she will be a human or a replicant.
No details have been given about Gosling's character either. Principal photography is due to begin in July.
Ridley Scott, who directed the original, has helped with the script and will act as an executive producer.
Variety reported that negotiations were delayed due to Wright's busy schedule with Netflix's hit political series and shooting for the new Wonder Woman film.
