Yaya Toure will not play in Paris on Wednesday night |
Yaya Toure has been ruled out of Manchester City's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain with a knee injury.
Toure missed the 4-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend with the problem and manager Manuel Pellegrini will again be without the midfielder in Paris on Wednesday evening.
City will also be without captain Vincent Kompany, but goalkeeper Joe Hart is available after recovering from a calf injury picked up in the defeat to Manchester United before the international break that forced him to miss the two England games and Saturday's 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
Joe Hart has trained with Manchester City |
"Joe worked without any problem the last day," said Pellegrini on Tuesday evening. "Of course you always have risk with a player when they are coming back from injury but we made medical tests with Joe and he doesn't have any problems."
Midfielder Fabian Delph, who last featured in the defeat to Leicester in early February, trained with the squad after recovering from an Achilles injury.
City are bidding to progress to the last four of the Champions League for the first time in the club's history.
